The Victorian Goldfields Railway offers a stunning wedding setting with a vintage twist.

Your guests are transported back in time to a world of indulgence, decadence and fun as the steam train winds its way through the Goldfields. Your guests get to mingle in the wonderful art deco and Edwardian lounge carriages. We even have a bar on board.

"We had a great wedding celebration. The train trip on the restored Macedon was supremely elegant and lots of fun. Our visitors really enjoyed themselves and we share the fondest memories of a train trip to Muckleford and then back to Maldon. The staff at the Goldfields Railway were helpful and supportive in giving us access to the beautiful Maldon railway station and a memorable train trip. Thanks VGR." Mary

A VGR Wedding

"We had such a fabulous wedding day which was made so memorable by the wonderful Victorian Goldfields Railway. The team at VGR were just fantastic and all of our guests are still talking about it now - 6 months since the big day!

We first approached the VGR team nearly 11 months ahead of the wedding date and they were terrific in helping us plan and arrange things in the lead up. We decided to keep the train as a surprise to all of the guests and their sense of 'theatre' really shone through as they put a wedding ribbon on the engine and brought the train into Maldon station - waving and blowing the horn - with all of the guests waiting on the platform. We then all boarded and took off for Muckleford where we had the ceremony beside the beautifully quaint Muckleford station. After a lovely ceremony under the river gums, and some drinks, we hung a 'Just Married' sign off the back of the last carriage and all boarded once again for the trip back to Maldon!

It was such a fantastic way to enrich an already special day and I can't thank the VGR team enough" Rohan & Katie.
