George Young - It is with much sadness and deep regret that we marked the death of George Young. George's tireless efforts for the VGR over the previous two years were ones for which he will always be admired. George was a very active Board member of the CMRPS and it was through his efforts that the Picnic at Muckleford event was inaugurated and has been a great success for these last two years.

Maldon Sation Fire - During the early hours of Tuesday 20th of October a fire broke out in the Maldon Station Building causing major damage, the fire was believed to be started by a refigerator in the Kitchen at the down end of the building, the fire quickly spreading to the booking office and into the roof. Thanks to the local CFA brigade efforts the blaze was largely contained to the two down end rooms with only roof and water damage in the up end.
