Muckleford - Toilet Block - A private donation has funded the provision of a toilet block at Muckleford. During the redevelopment prior to the 1996 opening to Muckleford, a septic tank was installed, this has now been put to use with this new facility. The new toilet block has been located a short distance behind the station building, taking advantage of the collection of rain water from the station building and the closeness of an electricity supply. This is the approximate location of the former departmental residence provided in earlier VR days, which also served as the local post office.

Y127 returns to 707 Operations - 707 Operations diesel electric Y127 had been on lease to the VGR since January 2005. During its time on the VGR, Y127 had operated a substantial number of VGR services during late 2005 and early 2006. It had been out of service for a time due to a broken casting on the blower fan take-off. Y127 returned to 707 Operations behind Y168 in the early hours of 9th December. We wish to thank 707 Operations for the use of Y127. See Y127 photographs.
