Maldon - Former VR Departmental Residence, first house east of station in Hornsby Street, purchased by CMRPS using members donations & loans to raise deposit and fees. Bank loan with National Australia Bank. Residence to be leased to assist in covering loan repayments. |

Maldon - Exhibition of paintings
by Peter Gasson, depicting draft horses at work. Exhibition is held over a period of
one month in the Maldon Goods Shed. Mr. Gasson donates a painting for first prize in fund raising raffle. Exhibition entrance fees and commission on sale of paintings to VGR. Extensive publicity organized by Marketing Officer included items in The Weekly Times, Royalauto, Bendigo Advertiser. |

Maldon - Former VR water tank recommissioned. Tank lined with fiberglass.
In-ground piping extended to CMRPS installed water crane and made effective. Repairs to water crane completed. New 1" supply (with meter) from Coliban Water main installed with float valve fitted to tank inlet. J549 was the first locomotive to be watered from the renewed facility. |
