Locomotive T345, privately owned, is driven light engine Bendigo to Castlemaine by V/line crew. Then used to marshall remaining CMRPS stock in Castlemaine yard and conveys consist to Maldon Junction and onto Maldon Line. CMR crew work train to Maldon. Train consist: T345, J549, K157, louvre van, 2 H vans, 2 GY trucks, 2 sheep trucks, 25BCPL, 51ABU and 23AW. F212 runs light engine to Winters Flat and assisted T345 with train. K157 & several trucks left in siding at Muckleford, remainder of consist transfered to Maldon.

Castlemaine - Yard rationalized by PTC. East yard sidings removed. Thompsons siding re-laid. West yard disconnected and siding immediately west of main lines (No. 1 siding) removed. Castlemaine 'A' Signalbox out of use. Majority of rodding, etc., relevant to remaining west yard track left in situ. Castlemaine 'B' Signalbox demolished. All existing main-line cross-overs and yard connections removed. New crossovers installed at up & down ends of yard to allow use of No.1 platform by down trains. New turnout for Maryborough line on up side of platforms allowing direct access to Maryborough Line for up trains. Electric signals and point motors controlled from panel in main station building.

Bicentennial Plaque unveiled on Locomotive J549. Castlemaine Bicentennial Committee funded $10,000 towards restoration.
