Turnouts at Muckleford received cleaning, lubrication and adjustment attention, including continued clearing of ballast from about moving parts and bolt tightening / adjustment.

5 volunteers (including a new recruit to the railway) turned up for the Signals work day at Castlemaine A Signal Box. Work continued with installing the floor pushers which was started at the previous workday. The hole was drilled for levers 27/28, and the contact box was installed for Lever 24, using the brackets manufactured by Graeme Dunn. The floor plates were then aligned so that the rod will be mounted vertically.

Work Undertaken: Oiling and inspection of equipment at Muckleford. Also assessment of requirements and availability of materials for fitting of locking and lever to dock road.

Event: Turnouts Adjusted
All operational turnouts controlled by Castlemaine 'A' were adjusted and cleaned.

Event: Cleaned up Signals work areas
Special train operated to Castlemaine. Useful materials were stored in louvre vans in Castlemaine yard and unusable materials were loaded in G's to be disposed of. The day proved very successful.

Group members discussed maintenance roster and recording then worked through Castlemaine Yard lubricating the signalling infrastructure.
