Muckleford - Works for Bendigo to Ballarat Pipeline

28-01-2008 Last day of trains before Feb Shutdown - Y133 at Muckleford.

The Australia Day Holiday (28th Jan) was the last day of trains before the February Shut Down. The above view shows Y133 running around it's train at Muckleford on the 'short trip'. On the left are the cement pipes awaiting installation under the track bed. The pipeline will cross the yard just in front of the loco.

Saturday 2nd February. The concrete pipes are in place and the sand packing is being positioned and tamped. The steel water-pipes will be installed through the concrete pipes. The pipeline runs along the easement for the electricity transmission line.
