While the cranes were at Maldon to transfer J541 from the road vehicle, opportunity was taken to reunite J549 with its wheels. These shots taken the next day in the loco area at Maldon.

J515 stands over the ash pit. J549 stands on the turntable. In the foreground is the stands which have supported the engine unit of 549 for the last three years.

Later in the afternoon J549 was placed on one of the turntable roads. In this shot the engine has been turned before being drawn backwards onto the turntable road.
