PHOTO GALLERY - CASTLEMAINE MAINLINE
On the 17th January, 2005 the main line between Sunbury and Bendigo was closed for works associated with the Regional Fast Rail Project. Although VGR trains use the Maryborough Line, the VGR is affected by the Project works due to the proximity of the VGR track to the main Bendigo Line at Castlemaine. These pages depict some of the works undertaken in the Castlemaine area. Train services to Bendigo resumed on the 22nd February 2006.
